About Foam 5

Based in Mississauga (Toronto), Ontario, Canada, Foam-5 was founded in 1977 for the purpose of fabricating tray liners, placemats, doilies and other custom cut consumables for the food services and tape industries. Foam-5 concentrates on and has expertise in - custom converting, embossing, custom die cutting and slitting of thin film (5Mil) polystyrene foam plastic and silicone-coated paper products. As custom converters, over the past years Foam-5 has sold its products to major international airlines, hotels, railways and automotive manufacturers in North America and over the past few years can boast of its products being found in hairdressing salons worldwide.

Foam-5 polystyrene-based thin film and paper products are developed for use in food service applications where the non-skid and non-absorbent characteristics of the product lends itself to reducing safety-related concerns while serving food to passengers on aircraft, ships and trains. In addition to the safety features of the film product there is an assortment of colour, embossing and printing to choose from resulting in attractive placemats adding distinctive appeal to the presentation of the meal being served. Die cutting, embossing and slitting of thin film material also permits use in an assortment of packaging uses utilizing the colour and characteristics of the material used.
